Terms of Service

Front of the Pile is operated by The Organisation Collective Pty Ltd (ABN 68 678 477 239), Queensland, Australia ("we", "us"). Contact: hello@frontofthepile.com.au. Last updated: October 2026.

1. What we provide

Front of the Pile sells general educational products and coaching about preparing Queensland rental applications: the Rental Playbook (a digital guide and templates) and Application Assist (a personal review service, described in the Application Assist service scope).

2. Educational information only

Our products provide general educational information based on practical leasing experience. They are not legal, financial or tenancy-law advice, and are not a substitute for advice from a qualified professional or from the Residential Tenancies Authority (rta.qld.gov.au). Tenancy rules change; while we aim to keep content current, you are responsible for checking the rules that apply to your situation.

3. No guarantee of outcome

Nothing we sell guarantees, or should be understood to suggest, that any rental application will be approved. Approval decisions rest entirely with property owners and their agents.

4. No preferential access

Purchasing our products does not create preferential access to any agency or property.

5. Your responsibilities

You are responsible for the accuracy and honesty of any information in your rental applications. Our products will never advise you to conceal or falsify information, and must not be used to do so.

6. Licence

Products are licensed for your personal, non-commercial use. Please don't redistribute, resell or republish them.

7. Refunds and consumer law

The Playbook carries a voluntary 30-day satisfaction refund, and Application Assist a no-questions refund until your strategy call, as described in the refund policy. After that, Application Assist is not refunded for change of mind, including finding a place or being approved. Nothing in these terms excludes, restricts or modifies any consumer guarantee or right you have under the Australian Consumer Law.

7A. How Application Assist runs

Who it covers. The price covers the number of people paid for at checkout ($199 for one or two people; $50 for each extra person, a guarantor counted as a person). Once your list is sent, the names on the order are locked: adding or swapping a person is $50 each. Removing someone is at our discretion, and deletes their part of the order the same day.

Timing. We contact you within one business day of payment, Monday to Friday. Your pack is delivered within 48 business hours of you pressing "My pack is complete", not before.

Changes. For 14 days after delivery, a mistake of ours is corrected free, and one update round and one tailoring to a property you've found are included. Other changes, and changes after 14 days, are $30 each. Once your documents are deleted, nothing is rebuilt; a new order is needed.

No reply. If we don't hear from you for 30 days after payment, or after your list is sent, your order closes without a refund. We remind you before it does. Anything you uploaded is deleted 60 days after it closes.

Your data. Each person on an order chooses whether the others can see their figures and open their documents. Documents are deleted 60 days after delivery unless you ask us to keep them longer while you're still looking (up to 120 days) or to delete them sooner. See the privacy policy. Documents are never included in our backups; order records are, for up to 60 days.

Give a mate $20 off, get $20 back. Every Application Assist order comes with a share link. Someone who buys Application Assist through it gets $20 off that order, once, at checkout. Once their order is past its refund window, we send you $20 back as a partial refund on your own order, up to five times. The discount can't be combined with another code and isn't paid in cash to the person using it. We may change or end the offer at any time, and a link already used at checkout keeps its discount. We can decline the discount, or the $20 back, where a link is posted publicly or used in a way that isn't a personal recommendation.

8. Liability

To the extent permitted by law, and subject always to your Australian Consumer Law rights, our liability in connection with a product is limited to resupplying the product or refunding the amount you paid for it.

9. Complaints

If something's wrong, email hello@frontofthepile.com.au. We aim to acknowledge complaints within 2 business days and resolve them within 14 days. If you're not satisfied, you may contact the Queensland Office of Fair Trading.

10. Changes

We may update these terms; the version published on this page at the time of your purchase applies to that purchase.
